Meet Pastor Hassan Mansaray. As a small boy he became drawn to the beauty and ceremony of a nearby Catholic church as he would watch the service through a window. The priest had compassion for him and began to feed him and teach him.
Many years later, as a grown and married man, Hassan started cell churches in homes while a brutal civil war waged all around him. The 11-year conflict in Sierra Leone killed millions and maimed about 40% of the current population.
With no money and no resources Hassan and his wife Iysha began taking in children who’s families had been murdered into their one-room home.
A decade later, Hassan now serves as President to 4HIM-Sierra Leone. He is father to 82 orphaned children, pastors multiple churches across his countries, oversees countless development and relief projects and is one of God’s most unsung heroes.
